www.rugscentre.co.uk supply rugs to TV Programme
July 15, 2011
www.rugscentre.co.uk have recently been asked to supply a rug for the ITV programme 60 Minute Makeover. As you may be aware 60 Minute Makeover is a long running programme, which visits people who are looking to transform rooms in a very short period of time. The show normally looks on Ebay for items but decided to ask www.rugscentre.co.uk to supply the rug due to them having one of the largest collection of rugs online and because the perfect rug was found to complete the room. Should you be looking for any more information on any of the rugs at www.rugscentre.co.uk they are open 6 days a week.
I can’t sell my things
January 31, 2011
Sometimes people don’t want your things on ebay. I once tried to sell a carrier bag that I think Cliff Richard might have once looked at. But no one bought it.
There was also the time that I found a piece of toast that had a burnt bit on it that looked like the face of a seahorse, but no one bought that either; not even seahorse fans.
I don’t really understand it because my mates seem to sell all sorts of things on ebay – all the junk from their bedrooms. But I don’t have much luck. Ever. With anything really.
Good things about ebay
January 24, 2011
Ebay is a great way to meet friends. I’ve got almost four friends on ebay and I chat to them every night.
There’s a great ‘chat’ feature on the site which allows you to send lots of different faces to your friends. You can send them a smiley face, an angry face, a laughing face; you can even send a love heart if you really like them.
As well as that, you can put your photos on ebay to show to your friends. I like to put pictures of me typing on my computer on there, so people can see what I look like most of the time. Ebay really is great.
Oh, wait; I think I’m thinking of Facebook.
Ebay is good
January 11, 2011
Ebay is a really good website and I love it because you can sell lots of different things on this website. Once I sold a racoon who plays the trumpet and another time I sold a cat with a face made out of marmite.
Some people will pay a lot of money for things that you don’t want and that’s why ebay is so good. If you have a lot of old rubbish that is messing up your room, then put it on ebay because someone will probably give you money for it and you can buy sweets with that money.
Becoming a top rated eBay seller
November 29, 2010
If you are wondering if being a top rated seller is worth the effort and energy you have to put in to get there, you only have to look at the amount of stuff that these people sell.
Most people would prefer to do business with a top rated seller with tons of feedback than someone with a low feedback score and without a track record of delivering on their promises.
In order to get to this level you need to ensure that the service you provide is of the highest level. This means posting the items out on time and dealing with any customer questions and issues quickly and effectively.
The effort you put in now will ultimately be rewarded with higher sales as people become more comfortable dealing with you as opposed to your competitors.
Making money from eBay at Christmas
November 26, 2010
If you are looking to make a bit of extra cash to fund your Christmas presents spree then you’d better get cracking. You really need to work out what you are selling and get your inventory ready asap. As listings can take from a day to 10 days and with just a few days left in November you need to think about your eBay listings.
People are after all sorts of things at this time of year so you never know what will sell, and what won’t.Just ensure that you put as much (accurate) of a description as possible, along with one or two genuine photos and you could be raking in the money. Oh, and although Paypal fees have been on the rise for some time, it is still the safest method of payment out there.
Making money on eBay
November 9, 2010
While it is certainly true that it is much harder these days to make a decent amount of cash on eBay than a few years ago, with a bit of hard work you can still see some remarkable results.
The product you are selling will definitely have a bearing on how much you make – although this sounds obvious as you could be selling cars as opposed to collectable toy figures, the mark-up value (or profit) you make from the items can depend on many factors.
If you want to see what is selling well on eBay in a particular category you can filter the results by bids and how much people are willing to pay, ignoring the Buy-it-Now listings. This should hopefully give you an idea of what you might wish to sell yourself and you can see the average price these items are going for to determine if you will make any money out of the venture or not.
A Deal Gone Wrong & How To Get It Sorted
July 31, 2010
Unfortunately, there a lot of people out there that are trying to part you from your money without giving you something in return. They may list items and not send them, or inaccurately describe them, or simply not have the item they claim to. It’s all so frustrating when you are done out of something you really want.
And eBay is here to help! Having bought 7 boxset dvds (Smallville, great show!), I found one disk in series 4 missing, but only noticed this a week or so after I had recieved the item (I know, I know, I should have checked them fully as soon as I had seen them). So, I dropped eBay an email, as I wasn’t getting a response from the seller – and got a phone call within a couple of hours, completed some security checks, and then got the direct contact details for the seller – dropped him a line, and got the disk in the post that week!It was really really easy.
So, top tips – always check the seller is an established one, and if not – ask them questions! Always, always double check the items (all of them if its multiples) and let the seller know asap – and if all else fails, contact eBay!
Generate Cash For Charity With Your eBay Items!
July 24, 2010
The classic “bring-and-buy” sale is an often used format within schools or churches, to generate a “re-use your unwanted items” at the same time as making some cash for a good cause. And eBay fits really well into this category! Sell your items, collect the cash – donate to charity. Well, eBay have made this even easier!
In the “GivingWorks” section of the site, you are now able to list items, and donate the funds straight to the charity – getting them the cash quicker, and giving you that sense of doing some good for your worthy cause, and all from the comfort of your PC!
eBay may have started life as a simple auction site, but it is developing into a real online community.
