Detox time for everyone

January 5, 2009

As usual its that time of year when everyone at least attempts detox there body for the new year. But how do you really detox?

There are hundreds of books on eBay that can help or claim to but if your anybody in the world who has left the 80’s you can know buy DVDs or one person is cashing in on duplication as he is selling his own advice in the form of a memory stick key fob.

He claims that he has put all the relevant advice you need on  memory stick and all you have to do is plug it in to your PC and watch and learn. I’m always sceptical when it comes to the unknown but then again for just a fiver its cheaper than most solutions.

Tv transmitter

January 4, 2009

I have just fitted a TV in my kitchen so misses can stop moaning when I’m sat on my backside in the lounge watching TV whilst she cooks. The only problem is there is no aerial in there so I’m having to use an old TV transmitter that I used 10 years ago when I was a student and I forgot how blurred the picture is without precision positioning. So its time to have a nosey on eBay and see if I can get an up to date one that is a lot newer than the piece of tat that I have got.

Anybody got ideas as I cant be bothered to go on to comet Argos etc and look up what is good and what things are worth so give me a shout if you see anything good…….

Rear projection TV

December 30, 2008

I have been looking at my Bedroom TV most of the day thinking I love the fact that it is 42 inch screen that makes me feel like I’m at the cinema when I’m in bed but I’m thinking it might be time to up grade to a LCD flat screen and bang it on the wall as the current TV is a rear projection and takes up a lot of space.

The dilemma I have is, do I sell the rear projection TV and stand on eBay which will cost me a fortune in deliveries or do I sell it hoping someone might come and pick it up? The other option is I could pester people at work who would love a giant TV for there lounge or bedroom? What to do?

Should I keep the TV as I don’t know what I would put in its position if I mounted the new TV on the wall?

Better ask the misses as she is full of ideas.

Golf Clubs

December 29, 2008

I have decided that I don’t need two sets of golf clubs so I did an over night auction on the crappy set that I bought about 5 years ago for £50.

It turns out that as I didn’t put a reserve on it by accident and it worked really well I had hundreds of bids and they sold for well over £100 I’m thinking the old golf club market is a bit of a untapped resource. There seems to be lots of people with a bit of Christmas money left over looking for the one present they didn’t get and lots of people who want to buy a set of cheap golf clubs to start the new year out. I tempted to get my other set back off a mate and sell them also and go and buy a better set for the new year. But can I really be bothered? No. Or should I give up golf and make a bit of cash? No.

Why would I ever this up?

Oak furniture

December 24, 2008

I’m in the process of deciding whether to buy a new house or upgrade my car only 2 months after I bought a new one. The problem I have is I love the car I have bought but I test drove a Porsche 911 this weekend and fell in love.

The issue is my misses wants a new house and she wants to fill it with classic oak furniture and if you look in the everyday shop it is going to cost me a fortune. This is why I’m turning to eBay for help, you can if you take your time bag yourself a real bargain but it is risky because without physically seeing the item you are buying how do you know that what turns up will not be a centimeter thick.

I think the only way to do it is to look for the product you want on the net first then try and match it on eBay but then again I might be able to get a bargain in the new year when the January sales or recession sales kick in.

So what would you do, buy a new house and fill it with nice things or go and treat yourself selfishly and buy the car you have always wanted?

liquorice allsorts

December 23, 2008

liquorice allsorts are a favorite of my whole family and I always buy some as a stocking filler, so this year I thought I would see what options I have on eBay, I did this a few weeks ago and I found over 200 different options I initially bought the usual suspects of lots of bags of the world famous sweets but then I started to find bracelets and necklaces made from the magical liquorice allsorts. I bidded on a few and they arrived today the funniest thing I found was a Bertie bassett CD holder. A CD holder check out the picture who ever thought of making this?

What, why and OMG, I almost bid on it to see if there was something special about it but changed my mind when I thought it must be a waste of money.

Leffe on eBay

December 21, 2008

I have found my favorite bargain of the year and it Leffe, the gorgeous Belgium beer. I always check out the foreign products as you have to pay tax on all the imported products in the local shops and as my favorite product is beer I always check the chance of a batch appearing on eBay and its taken a year but I have found Leffe blond twenty 750ml bottle for £20 which if I had bought them in a shop I would have paid around £70 so I’m over the as I don’t need to pay postage and packaging as the seller lives 5 miles away and I can go and pick them up.

So this will officially my favorite bargain of the year. I also bought a DVD of the world best boxing matches from the same guy, full of the usual suspect Ali, and Prince Nassem Hamed but my favorite one is Eubank vs Stretch, Eubank won the title from Stretch and the 2 guys enter the ring wanting kill each other, Eubank get his arrogant swagger about the ring and they kick seven bells out of each other. I cant belive how quick Eubank was its no wonder he won so many fights.

When you watch or you have ever seen Eubank fight you will notice that Eubank has such a quick hand but can also take a Punch and has quite a strong chin. I recommend if you want to watch a classic watch that fight.

Here are some of Eubanks best knock outs.

Fake id

December 19, 2008

One of the most popular younger users products searched for on eBay and is one of the most searched terms is Fake Id, as you can guess this is readily available on the net anyway but most people would rather bid for and try and bag a bargain.

The funny thing is when you search for it on eBay you get loads of Mclovin fake id cards and lots of fake id uv scanners, there are lots of different novels with the term fake in it and unless you a skilled manipulator and want to try your hand at changing the Mclovin cards you will struggle to buy one of the fake driving licenses or id cards on the net for less than £15.

Why you would want to do this is beyond me but it seems a massive market and the traffic that is going to the natural listings of google is overwhelmingly high whihc tells me that there are loads of people either wanting to be Mclovin for the night or loads of dodgey students out there looking to start driving before they are meant to.

Toner cartridges

December 19, 2008

So with Christmas drawing ever closer and everybody tightening there purse strings work have asked me to keep my eye out for bargains on eBay, I have been looking out for week for special deals but its really hard trying to buy stuff for a multi million pound company that has cheap suppliers for everything.

Today is different though, I have found the one thing that I can buy on eBay cheaper than the local supplier, and its Toner Cartridges.

The cost that work pays for these has not been monitored in recent years they have always stuck with the same company simply because it was easy and they never think of it as massive expense until I explained that they could make a saving of hundreds of pounds over a year, even on something as simple as toner cartridges. When I put it to them in terms of savings over 10 years they are now bidding happily away on eBay for lots of different products, the only problem they seem to be facing are delivery times as most people don’t order massive orders over eBay or things like that around Christmas time because of the problems with the royal mail Christmas post. Have you ever tried to bid for anything for work?

Christmas cards on eBay

December 18, 2008

My Mum and Dad have now been retired for over a year and they have both done the traditional thing of taking up hobbies to pass away the time of the days that use to be filled with work.

The fun hobby my mum has taken up is Christmas card making, it has always been something she has liked but now she has more time she is getting a little bit to good at making them look like professional cards and I’m tempted to get her selling some on eBay as it seems to be a thriving trade.

People are selling individual cards for pennies but no one seems to be selling multi packs and I’m sure there is a corner of eBay that could be filled and make a tidy profit.

Hand made cards its the future!!
