Glastonbury or the world cup

I know this has little to do with eBay but on the other hand everyone will be shopping on eBay for there world cup equipment and for stuff at Glastonbury.

Last year a friend of mine spent £36 on a tent chairs, mats, sleeping bag etc which I’m sure if he had wanted to that he could of resold for around £100.

The world cup stuff that’s all over eBay at the minute is really expensive and boring I’m sure after the world cup you will be able to get some great memorabilia even the odd players shirt.

Whats your choice this year Glastonbury or the world cup?

The onset of spring

With the onset of spring finally appearing n the UK is it time to change to change your eBay selling techniques or is it time to stick to the tried and tested. I notice always around this time of year that lots of people get the summer bug and try and sell off all there summer gear from last year to prepare for that inevitable summer holiday.

Last year I saw some funny things appearing on eBay like giant inflatables that have obviously been bought on holiday, no doubt because of the expenditure buying them, they were dragged back to the UK and the mistake was realised, so that’s why in 2009 we saw eBay flooded with blow up animals and floatation devices.

Christmas cards

Christmas cards are the hot topic this year at work as a few people have decided to set up there own online business selling home made Christmas cards. They are not in such a short space of time how to get there sometimes F A N T A S T I C products in front of the ever willing public so they can sell them. Obviously being the eBay F R E A K that I am i have suggested that they trying an auction or two on eBay and taking some high quality close up photos of the great designs they have come up with.

One girl over the weekend has made over 300 individual unique cards, I’m not sure if she has a boyfriend or even a telly but were all sure that elf Christmas card making speed freak is our key to making a killing if we can shift the cards before we run out of time and Christmas is upon us.

Cheap gas cooker eBay

So I have finally pulled my finger out and decided to sell the cooker I stupidly bought when I moved into my house a year ago which was the wrong size. As you can see from the photo its a decent cooker but simply doesn’t fit the space. You can watch the auction here or if you fancy a 1 year old well looked after gas cooker for pick up only in the Macclesfield area/ Cheshire area then feel free to bid. Its on a 3 day auction and has had the minimum asking price met already. My new one arrives on Saturday so im looking to get rid as soon as possible.

fireproof spray again another random product or subject that is being over looked on eBay if you google the term fireproof spray it comes up with one hundred and fifty six thousand results but when you type it in to eBay and search for it, you get no results at all, so why are these niche industries being missed, or should I set up a business and target them through eBay perhaps I could make a killing.

Have you ever dominated a product on eBay as it must be easier than google as your listing gets higher the more time that passes.

Fireproof lamination follow up

I previously wrote an article about Fireproof lamination trying to work out if there was an industry on eBay for the Fireproof lamination section of the world. The response I have had is amazing, on the first day I got a simple trackback with 1 hour of my post going live and then every minute of every second from then on I have heard nothing that leads me to belive that the fireproof lamination indusrty does not exist.

Can you prove me wrong are you in the fireproof lamination industry or do you have a successful business that thrives from fireproof lamination?.

Ideas for the bank holiday

One thing people always look forward to are bank holidays but when it actually comes to have the Friday or Monday off people struggle to find things to do, this is why I’m thinking that the traffic online must go up and eBay must get a lot more visitors so why not schedule your auction to finish on these bank holidays so people who cant normally bid will have the chance to buy your product.

Has anyone tried this before let me know because there are not many bank holidays left this year except for Christmas and I’m sure all the online shopping dynamics will change at that time.

relationship counselling in Nottingham what a strange subject to try and look up on eBay but I was playing a game with my misses on which is the weirdest subject which a local area we could find with the most results appearing on the eBay listings, weirdly enough this came up with over 100 different adverts offering relationship counselling in Nottingham and I’m sure there must be a reason for this like the whole of Nottingham is in relationship crisis, and someone has jumped on the band waggon to make some cash from relationship counselling in Nottingham.

pine furniture

pine furniture is such a boring subject when it comes to my weekends but my girlfriend is very persuasive when she wants something and its time to repopulate the whole house in a contemporary feel with pine furniture.

Now she was talking the other night about all the different styles of furniture that you can buy but after we had discussed over one H U N D R E D different possibilities we both came to an agreement that pine furniture is the new black or the in style for 2009. The problem I have now is for the next twenty bloody weekends I’m going to get dragged round every pine furniture shop in the UK, which always results in the trip diversifying into other forms of shopping which I absolutely hate, like clothes shopping or basically anything to do with female fashion, makeup etc.

I have recently cottoned on to this and started to pick shopping centres or complexes that have stuff for me like pubs or the cinema so she can potter off on her own and bore herself to death with all the girly things in the world.

What techniques do you have for getting out of the long haul shopping trips is it eBay?

Tevez and his old united shirt

Last week I saw something strange on eBay which I couldn’t believe was true, Tevez the ex Man united player selling his old kit on eBay, I’m not sure if it was really him but it was quite convincing as it came with loads of extras but three hundred other people believed it as they had been make five pound bids for about a week for the big pile of rubbish, well in my eyes anyway. The final cost that all the stuff went for was over four thousand pounds which was amazing as its not like he is Kaka or Ronaldo?
