Leffe on eBay
December 21, 2008
I have found my favorite bargain of the year and it Leffe, the gorgeous Belgium beer. I always check out the foreign products as you have to pay tax on all the imported products in the local shops and as my favorite product is beer I always check the chance of a batch appearing on eBay and its taken a year but I have found Leffe blond twenty 750ml bottle for £20 which if I had bought them in a shop I would have paid around £70 so I’m over the as I don’t need to pay postage and packaging as the seller lives 5 miles away and I can go and pick them up.
So this will officially my favorite bargain of the year. I also bought a DVD of the world best boxing matches from the same guy, full of the usual suspect Ali, and Prince Nassem Hamed but my favorite one is Eubank vs Stretch, Eubank won the title from Stretch and the 2 guys enter the ring wanting kill each other, Eubank get his arrogant swagger about the ring and they kick seven bells out of each other. I cant belive how quick Eubank was its no wonder he won so many fights.
When you watch or you have ever seen Eubank fight you will notice that Eubank has such a quick hand but can also take a Punch and has quite a strong chin. I recommend if you want to watch a classic watch that fight.
Here are some of Eubanks best knock outs.
Who is the stig?
December 20, 2008
Some one on eBay is claiming that they know who the stig is and for the right cost they will sell the secret that is one of the most searched terms on the net.
Auto trader is currently running a picture of the stig taken close up with his helmet on but a flash bulb showing his face through his visor.
What do you think do you recognise the face or eyes if so let the world know or at least tell me then I wont have to bid on eBay to find out who it is?
I think it looks a little bit like Hammond or one or two of the formula one racers but then again if it was one of them they would not get time to race and film the top gear show at the same time.
Fake id
December 19, 2008
One of the most popular younger users products searched for on eBay and is one of the most searched terms is Fake Id, as you can guess this is readily available on the net anyway but most people would rather bid for and try and bag a bargain.
The funny thing is when you search for it on eBay you get loads of Mclovin fake id cards and lots of fake id uv scanners, there are lots of different novels with the term fake in it and unless you a skilled manipulator and want to try your hand at changing the Mclovin cards you will struggle to buy one of the fake driving licenses or id cards on the net for less than £15.
Why you would want to do this is beyond me but it seems a massive market and the traffic that is going to the natural listings of google is overwhelmingly high whihc tells me that there are loads of people either wanting to be Mclovin for the night or loads of dodgey students out there looking to start driving before they are meant to.
Toner cartridges
December 19, 2008
So with Christmas drawing ever closer and everybody tightening there purse strings work have asked me to keep my eye out for bargains on eBay, I have been looking out for week for special deals but its really hard trying to buy stuff for a multi million pound company that has cheap suppliers for everything.
Today is different though, I have found the one thing that I can buy on eBay cheaper than the local supplier, and its Toner Cartridges.
The cost that work pays for these has not been monitored in recent years they have always stuck with the same company simply because it was easy and they never think of it as massive expense until I explained that they could make a saving of hundreds of pounds over a year, even on something as simple as toner cartridges. When I put it to them in terms of savings over 10 years they are now bidding happily away on eBay for lots of different products, the only problem they seem to be facing are delivery times as most people don’t order massive orders over eBay or things like that around Christmas time because of the problems with the royal mail Christmas post. Have you ever tried to bid for anything for work?
Christmas cards on eBay
December 18, 2008
My Mum and Dad have now been retired for over a year and they have both done the traditional thing of taking up hobbies to pass away the time of the days that use to be filled with work.
The fun hobby my mum has taken up is Christmas card making, it has always been something she has liked but now she has more time she is getting a little bit to good at making them look like professional cards and I’m tempted to get her selling some on eBay as it seems to be a thriving trade.
People are selling individual cards for pennies but no one seems to be selling multi packs and I’m sure there is a corner of eBay that could be filled and make a tidy profit.
Hand made cards its the future!!
Royal mail strike eBay affected
December 17, 2008
If your thinking of posting something I would do it in the next few days as it is likely that on the 19th of December the postal workers of the UK will once again strike and make our lives hell when it comes to delivering parcels and Christmas gifts for loved ones.
The solution is to use someone else to deliver your goods and I’m sure if we all look hard enough there are thousands of companies that would do it for a very similar cost.
Any body got any suggestions as I found a company that lets you bid to ship your parcel along with lot of others and gets delivered to where ever you want, the fun part is the delivery guy has to bid also for the work so you always end up with a good cost.
The culprit areas will be Coventry, Crewe, Liverpool, Stockport, Bolton and Oxford, thanks a lot to all you people who are going make the eBay sellers and buyers lives hell over Christmas.
Car Batteries
December 16, 2008
I always think of car batteries as something that you only look up when yours runs out or if you stupidly leave your lights on and it goes flat forever, but as it turns out it is quite a big business with people offering services to come out and replace the battery and fit a new one what ever the weather which I think gives the boring battery an extra incentive to use that company in question to come out and replace it.
I recently had to buy a new battery for my Fiancee as she left her lights on being the blond she is, so I thought I would try and get a bargain on eBay but the results for “car battery” came up with over 1500 permutations leaving me in a bit of a pickle and bad trust point of view as I didn’t know which batteries have been used.
In the end IÂ got one from the company that come out and see you but it was still through eBay on a buy it now deal so it still worked out quite cheap. Check out this video as it was a suggestion to recharge the battery to get it to the garage I’m not sure that it would work??????????
Baby Corn
December 15, 2008
So I was struggling for something to write about today so I shouted up to my Fiancee and asked her for a subject and being the strange but lovable person she is, she shouted back “baby corn” now this, I would normally ignore but I humoured this and typed baby corn into eBay and to my amazement it can up with 6 results, 2 being the obvious and someone trying to sell the food from America, there was also a baby corn outfit and some baby corn for a dolls house but the random one it pulled in was baby clothes that were yellow corn coloured.
I wonder if anyone ever buys any of these as non of them had any bids on it but when I scrolled down I found the international results with over 99 different options with all sorts of strange and wonderful things, its amazing what America will do to make a quick buck.
The strangest being this a baby corn snake.
Secret santa
December 14, 2008
So its that time of year at work and I always get dragged in to a secret Santa session, I have been given a name I don’t really know but the person in question is known as potato head and every-time this secret Santa session comes round, we have a five pound limit so I always use my eBay skills to purchase something from there and get something that costs a fiver but is normally worth more.
I cant decide whether to be mean or not and buy the person in question a potato head as there are loads on eBay or spend the fiver on something nice and cash in on a bargain and try and make someone Christmas better than normal.
Anybody have any opinions?
Back to the future and gremlins
December 13, 2008
So I’m claiming this as my second best bargain of the year, I love old films when it comes to Christmas I love all the classics that get shown to pass the days and wind away afternoons.
There are to may classics to name but I have recently found out that my partner loves the same sort of films especially Gremlins and Back to the future, so I thought as a stocking filler I would have a nosey on eBay and I came across both sets of multi packs and they were selling for a pound each with no reserve and luckily I got both and even better they are coming from the same seller so I negotiated on the cost of postage.
I just hope she appreciates but then again what do I care as if she doesn’t like them I’m sure if I resell them I will make a profit.
