Sex and the city
January 11, 2009
Since the movie sex and the city came out my girlfriend has been pestering me to buy it her or get hold of a copy and I have been hanging on to get myself a cheap copy and buy her a bargain from eBay.
It as worked as I have been bidding on loads of copies trying not to spend over a fiver and eventually I have got luckily getting myself a copy for £1 with £1.99 postage and packaging and she was over the moon. The copy is still in its original wrapper like somebody had got it for Christmas and its an unwanted gift. Either I’m happy and so is the misses so that’s so far the best buy of 2009.
Big Brother
January 10, 2009
Big brother is all over the TV and Lucy Pinder has been the first celebrity to be kicked out, lots of people are waiting to see if she delivers on her promise by selling stuff she has taken from the house on eBay. I am guessing that if she has they will be really hard to find and even worse when you type big brother into eBay it brings up over 900 different results and it will probably just slip Lucy’s items in with every-one’s products, and if everyone doesn’t cash in on it by pretending to be Lucy themselves. There seems to be loads of the old bean nags that were the size of a bed.
Sale sharks
January 9, 2009
Tonight I’m going to watch the sale sharks at Edgerley park in Stockport which is going to be a very cold night but I’m always thinking outside the box and with the recession being on even massive rugby clubs like sale sharks has to have sales and I’m going to check out the club shop as lots of people look to buy there rugby shirts on eBay.
They seem to selling from anything from £35 to £50 depending on which colour the shirt is and what season and size. The club shop is offering the shirt at £25 as a one off for the game against London Irish, so I’m thinking ten shirts would make me a minimum of £50. Is it worth it?
Fireplace
January 8, 2009
One of my friends has asked me to look out for one or two things on eBay as he knows how much time I spend on the net and especially eBay looking for bargains. The main thing he is looking for is a fireplace as he recently bought a fantastic five bedroom house that has amazing real fires through out the whole house but the fireplace in the living room the main room of the house is some thing from the stone ages and it looks like something that somebody found it on a skip or made it at school and then took it home there parents out of courtesy and not to disappoint a child put it in the house and left it there as it was to big to replace easily. No doubt we are both probably wrong and its probably a classic fireplace that is worth thousands of pound and knowing his luck he will get it valued and sell it at auction to make the money back on what I find him on the net. To be honest lots of the fireplaces on eBay are rubbish or come up with results of electric fires but I have found a nice sandstone fireplace that we are now bidding on, so fingers crossed.
Ice cream van
January 7, 2009
If you are thinking of getting away this year but don’t want to spend thousands of pounds on travel a good option is to tour the country and the usual way is to buy a camper van for around a grand but I think I have found a cheaper option, an ice cream van.
After speaking to a potential client I had a nosey on eBay to see how much it would cost to pick up an old ice cream van. The cheapest I could find was £400 and it came with all the stuff to make it a full working ice cream van.
My theory would be go away on a tour with a few mates and if you run out of cash fire up the chimes and make some beer money back by selling ice creams.
Sounds crazy but it just might work, I’m going to mention it to the lads and see what they think!!
To rent or to buy?
January 6, 2009
One of the up and coming trades I have noticed on eBay is people offering there products for rental rather than sale. I’m not sure how much sense this makes but I suppose it could help people with the recession who cant afford to splash out on the things that you can normally not afford. For instance instead of buying a washing machine for £200 you can rent one for £2.99 a week.
The best one I have found is a 50 inch LCD TV for £5.99 a week I can imagine lots of people doing that one especially if they are a gamer and they play on a 19 inch TV, the detail must be amazing on the larger version.
I’m going to keep an out for women’s bargains as my girlfriend is always on the hunt for up to date girly products that she cant afford.
The funny one I can imagine people doing is renting a diamond ring for as little as £100 just for one day then taking it back, it break a girls heart.
What would you rent?
Detox time for everyone
January 5, 2009
As usual its that time of year when everyone at least attempts detox there body for the new year. But how do you really detox?
There are hundreds of books on eBay that can help or claim to but if your anybody in the world who has left the 80′s you can know buy DVDs or one person is cashing in on duplication as he is selling his own advice in the form of a memory stick key fob.
He claims that he has put all the relevant advice you need on memory stick and all you have to do is plug it in to your PC and watch and learn. I’m always sceptical when it comes to the unknown but then again for just a fiver its cheaper than most solutions.
Tv transmitter
January 4, 2009
I have just fitted a TV in my kitchen so misses can stop moaning when I’m sat on my backside in the lounge watching TV whilst she cooks. The only problem is there is no aerial in there so I’m having to use an old TV transmitter that I used 10 years ago when I was a student and I forgot how blurred the picture is without precision positioning. So its time to have a nosey on eBay and see if I can get an up to date one that is a lot newer than the piece of tat that I have got.
Anybody got ideas as I cant be bothered to go on to comet Argos etc and look up what is good and what things are worth so give me a shout if you see anything good…….

Lucy Pinders eBay
January 3, 2009
So keep your eyes peeled as celebrity big brother this year has taken in Lucy Pinder and it is rumoured that she will be putting all the stuff on eBay that she picks up or even better takes off.
The glamour model who stands at an impressive 32 double GG is said to want to prove to people that she is more than just a chest. Her reports from her inside team have said that she is going to try and be human and afterwards sell all the stuff that she takes from the house for pennies on eBay so people can have a piece of this years celebrity big brother.
I’m hoping that she steals loads of stuff and gets arrested but I wont complain if she signs a bra or two and sells them as I’m sure they will go for thousands and it would be great to how much they would go for.

Gastric Band
January 2, 2009
A strange thing I found on eBay yesterday was a gastric band after watching a program on celebrities and seeing Fern Britain announce to the world that she had one fitted.
It sold for £10 and I’m not sure if it was a used one but you can still buy books on the subject called everything you need to know before you have the gastric band fitted.
I don’t know why you would ever buy the book unless you are totally paranoid about surgery and want to know what happens exactly.
The one place I wouldn’t be looking for advice on major surgery is eBay. Would you?
