Pole dancing lessons

February 10, 2009

My girlfriend has started to do different types of exercise and one of the classes like yoga and kick boxing because she loves the gym but needs to try different things to keep her interest in exercising.

The funniest thing she has found is pole dancing lessons which involving an hour of learning different lessons or moves that she can perform around a pole. Some of them have come in very handy which means she can bend down and pick up rubbish or my dirty clothes very easily making her life with the washing better.

On a serious note it is helping to keep up her fitness levels and making her life a lot easier to be healthy and I managed to get her a good deal through eBay. Why not try it your self and then show us your experiences?

Skip eBay???????

February 9, 2009

This is a comment I got on my blog and I was hoping to get some opinions from the comments stated below what do you think? Is eBay getting to expensive and is the smaller seller or individual getting ripped of by the big wigs at eBay. Tell me what you think?

“SKIP eBay! and BEWARE of Pay-pal (owned by eBay)!

eBay has the highest prices due to their outrageous user fees and their FORCED Pay-pal payment policies.

Ex-eBay CEO, Whitman, and current CEO, Donahoe’s “Disruptive Innovation” scheme against users is causing the users to flee in droves. The extremely high prices, unfair new policies, banning of choice of payments, the overload of ebay’s new class of sellers (”Diamond Sellers” selling cheap, bulk-made, foreign knock-offs) receiving millions of free listings, while burying smaller sellers items, who have suffered two recent fee increases, and the arbitrary restrictions and suspensions of smaller users is killing fair trade on eBay. With eBay CEO, John Donahoe, implementing policies geared toward banning the small sellers and pushing for mega companies with millions of free listings, which BTW, you can buy cheaper, elsewhere, I sure wouldn’t expect much from eBay except high bills and massive headaches.

Don’t forget that eBay owns Pay-pal and is now forcing the majority of it’s users to use Pay-pal ONLY…along with that, PLEASE check your Pay-pal user agreement which now allows Pay-pal, at it’s “sole discretion” to withhold users funds for up to 180 days!

Their are plenty of other venues, which offer FAR BETTER, customer service, lower prices, fairer and safer transactions, such as bonanzle, amazon and etsy.

To see what ebayers are now experiencing, search the Internet for “EBay Stockholders and Sellers Calling For Immediate Termination of John Donohoe CEO Petition” at petitiononline. Employees’ views of ebay’s horrendous upper management can be viewed by going to glassdoor (dotcom).”

Personally I believe that you get different problems with the other sites out there so I’m sticking with eBay as even though I’m a smaller seller I still regularly make a profit. How about you?

Carpet Macclesfield

February 8, 2009

I live and buy lots of stuff from Macclesfield and recently my misses has been pestering me for a new carpet on the stairs, bathroom and spare bedroom, so I have been doing my usual searches on the net and trying to find the cheapest usual suspects to make them bid against each other so I can get a cheap set of carpets.

I have struggled to find a nice carpet and a bargain so I have turned to eBay and for once it has let me down so I’m off to Macclesfield as they have a few carpet specialist and carpet clearance centres.

The dam busters

February 7, 2009

So if your up with all things news related, tomorrow you can buy the daily mail and get a free copy of a classic film on DVD called the dam busters, last time I got a free DVD from a paper I popped it for auction on eBay to see if it would sell and somebody bought it off me for a fiver so my tip of the day is go buy the paper and try and sell it on eBay.

You never know you could cash it on a phenononem and make a quick fiver. I did last time. Take a gamble.

Jelly babies

February 6, 2009

I love food and all kinds of sweets, one thing one of I’m colleagues made me think of today was jelly babies and how long it has been since I have had some, so today I am bidding on 20 packs of jelly Babies on eBay.

They seem to be selling in general for £30 but I am hoping to spend only £10 and cash in on a bargain. 20 packs normally sell for £2 each which at £30 would still be good but I have bid on that many I’m sure to cash in on a bargain, if not ill end up buying the lot and be over run by jelly Babies.

Cosmetics

February 5, 2009

My girlfriend is the biggest lover of anything expensive when it comes to cosmetics, recently I had a week of work and I was going through a few house things and I came across my girlfriends make up bag. I had a little nosey and she was running out of a lot of things. So one drunk afternoon I went to the local expensive cosmetics shop and bought her 2 or 3 products and spent over £100 on 3 products I didn’t realise this until I sobered up and was truly shocked when I saw the receipt. One thing I always recommend on this blog is to shop around on eBay and find everything you want that other people don’t want at a bargain. I checked out the stuff I bought and I could have got them at half the cost, so its lesson learnt.

Chain and sprocket sets

February 4, 2009

I have recently been looking for a chain and sprocket sets to buy for my Dad’s fast approaching 60Th B’Day. I always find it such a nightmare trying to think of presents for people, I never feel satisfied unless I feel like I’ve got the perfect gift for that person. For women it’s relatively easy… perfume, pamper treatments, clothes, chocolate! but men are a completely different kettle of fish. They seem totally indifferent about everything and when you ask the what they want they just say they don’t mind! that’s a great help! So anyway I was quite pleased when I came up with this idea for my Dad as it’s both practical and fits with his love of extreme sports, well done to me. I have to say I would rather he didn’t go out biking, as I get nervous whenever he does, but there is no stopping him there so as I can’t afford a bike I thought this would be quite a good little gift. Anyway, I had a good search on the net, and after much looking, I found that the cheapest place with the most choice was easily eBay. So my recommendation to you is if your looking for bike parts or chain and sprocket sets in particular then eBay is the place.

Pure green tea

February 3, 2009

Pure green tea, 25 bags to be exact, since the new year ha come around my girlfriend to her credit has started a health kick and so far over a month into it has stuck to the regime which I am very proud of even though she doesn’t need to doing anything health wise but it never hurts to stay healthy, so as a loving partner I am trying to treat her to keep her on the straight and narrow making her health regime easier and cheaper. The bargain I have found is pure green tea which is really expensive in the local supermarket so I have a supplier on eBay who is offer 25 packs of green tea for only 50p a box which is compared to nearly £3 in the shops. So check it out and get yourself a bargain.

Dancing on ice

February 2, 2009

My girlfriends sister has been on a few dates with the world famous Ellery Hanley and recently he has been performing on the ITV show dancing on ice with mixed results which has made him a popular topic on the Internet so I thought I would try and cash in on some of this new found Internet fame.

I got my girlfriends sister to get me a signed rugby program and as usual I put it straight on eBay and to my surprise it didn’t even get one bid but I did put a £15 minimum bid on it, so this weekend I replaced the item without a limit and it sold and was bid on over 30 times but the final cost was only £25, which tells me that he need to win the thing on TV before I try this again.

Nadal Tennis ball

February 1, 2009

Someone out there is on to something special or is really ripping people off, the seller in question (no Names yet) claims that they have 20 tennis balls all signed by Nadal and Federer the greats themselves, which have appeared in all the matches that two have played against each other.

Each ball is being sold for £50 plus and will be around eBay for the next two weeks, the signatures look pretty real but im not so sure, 20 BALLS, is that even possible or have you pushed yourself to far with the lie.

Would you take punt on one of these balls or give them a miss.
