Nokia N97 eBay

I am getting desperate for a new phone as Vodafone the cheeky scammers tied me into a 18 month contract when they sold me my last up grade without telling me. Granted the phone I got was free and probably to make Vodafone get any profit I would have to be tied in for that long, I just wish they had told me, anyway that’s enough of a rant because I’m thinking of taking things into my own hands and buying the new phone I want from eBay, if I upgrade early I would have to go to a Vodafone store and buy it out right for ~£800 where the sale price on eBay is about £400. So do I take the plunge?
